Meet Our Team

  • luz rodriguez

    Luz Rodriguez, DVM

Dr. Rodriguez was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico where her love and passion of animals began early in her life. Her childhood was surrounded by a variety of animals from rabbits and chicken to cats and dogs, small ruminants, and turtles.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technologist at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus. After being a Veterinary Technologist for three years she decided to pursue her dream and studied at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated with Summa Cum Laude. While she was studying at Ross University, she obtained multiple academic achievement awards and multiple scholarships. She completed her clinical year at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2019 she received the AAHA Award for Proficiency in Primary Care for her outstanding care at an AAHA accredited hospital.

She believes that pet owner education is one of the most important aspects of preventive care. She has an interest in internal medicine, surgery, preventive care, ultrasound, and dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys visiting local parks with her family, doing yoga, and going to the gym. She has three furry daughters: a chihuahua, a chipoo, and a mixed breed dog…. and she is looking forward to expanding her family (cows, small ruminants, cats).

  • dr alanna acevedo

    Dr. Alanna Acevedo Negron

Dr. Acevedo was born and raised on the island of Puerto Rico. From an early age, her love for animals and nature was highly noticeable. During her formative years, she took care of several household pets, such as rabbits, turtles, guinea pigs, fish tanks, birds, and the family dog, a Miniature Schnauzer.

Dr. Acevedo has a double major in Integrative Biology and Veterinary Technology at the University of Puerto Rico. In January 2021, she completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, earning the highest honors. She finished her fourth year of clinical rotations at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.

During her time at veterinary school, Dr. Acevedo met her most loyal companion. After taking care of her for two years, she officially adopted Caramel, a fluffy, joyful mix breed dog. Currently, Dr. Acevedo and Caramel are enjoying the sunny weather since they arrived in Florida.

Dr. Acevedo has a particular interest in exotic pets including birds, small mammals, reptiles, and fish. She is also interested in internal medicine, ultrasound, radiology, and preventive care.

During her free time, Dr. Acevedo takes pleasure in spending time with Caramel, her family, and her friends. Some of her hobbies include traveling, photography, and reading novels.

Dr. Acevedo is looking forward to meeting you all at Atlas Pet Clinic.

  • I recently brought my dog in to Atlas and saw a new doctor, Dr. Munoz. She was absolutely wonderful with my Ginger. She carefully examined her, had a gentle hand, and very patiently explained to me every step in the process. I felt completely confident that Ginger was in the best of care and she's feeling much better now. Thank you, Dr. Munoz and the Atlas Team!

  • We have been taking our Doxie, Bristol, to Atlas since shortly after we adopted her. Dr. Charlie is our main Vet and is truly skilled and very good about explaining what's going on whenever we come in. This past time, we were in for Bristol's allergies and met with Dr. Navarro. She was great! Her treatment plan was also consisted with Dr. Charlie's of progressively changing meds to see how our pup reacts and adapts. It has been a process but we are grateful for the guidance and confident in their advice.

  • I love the staff at Atlas. They treat your babies just like their own. they've always been so nice and helpful with our baby Shadow. I recommend them to anyone who needs a vet for their fur babies.

  • I was searching for a new vet when I moved to Clermont & tried one but didn’t get a good feeling & felt they were overcharging so I asked new neighbors & then found the App Next Door & saw many great reviews...boy I knew I was in the right place when I walked in the door....from the warm staff to the people in the front who were raving about this place....very very happy.

  • Absolutely incredible staff, doctors and technicians. Helped us with our dog when no one else would. Saved her life and we will never forget it. Highest quality and recommendation.

  • BEST VET I have ever been too! I have been going here for years and they have been there for my pup Reese and I when she had her seizure and when she had gotten sick just a few days ago. Animal care is always number 1 with them! I don't trust anyone else. I have been recommending them to everyone I know and they all have nothing but great things to say. They are getting very busy because they are so great! Well worth the wait. Also they follow up immediately the next day which is amazing!
