Our Story

Serving Clermont and Surrounding Communities since 2011, our mission at Atlas Pet Clinic is to help your pets live happier, healthier lives by providing exceptional quality medical and surgical care in a compassionate environment. 

What began as a vision for modern, state-of-the-art veterinary care has grown into a full-service veterinary hospital, serving Clermont and surrounding areas. 

Throughout our growth, we’ve remained committed to ensuring pets and their families receive individual attention and customized treatment plans in a comfortable, caring environment.

Dr. Luz Rodriguez

Veterinarian

Dr. Luz Rodriguez was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where her passion for animals began at an early age. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology from the University of Puerto Rico and worked as a veterinary technologist before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University, graduating summa cum laude. She later completed her clinical training at the University of Florida and received the AAHA Award for Proficiency in Primary Care in recognition of her commitment to high-quality patient care.

Dr. Rodriguez has a strong interest in preventative care, internal medicine, surgery, ultrasound, and dentistry, and believes client education is essential to maintaining long-term health and wellness for her patients. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, visiting local parks, practicing yoga, and staying active. She shares her home with her three dogs and looks forward to continuing to expand her animal family.

Dr. Maygan Oquendo

Veterinarian

Dr. Maygan Oquendo was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where her passion for veterinary medicine began at an early age through caring for companion animals. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology and Master of Public Health from the University of Puerto Rico before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. Before veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary nurse in a research setting, gaining valuable hands-on clinical experience.

Dr. Oquendo has a strong interest in internal medicine, neurology, wound care, and preventative care. She is committed to providing thoughtful, high-quality care for dogs and cats while supporting pet owners through every stage of their pet’s health.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys running, swimming, and spending time outdoors. She is an avid birdwatcher and shares her home with her dog and two cats.

Dr. Alanna Negron

Veterinarian

Dr. Alanna Negron was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where her passion for animals and nature began at an early age. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology from the University of Puerto Rico before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University, graduating with highest honors. She completed her clinical training at the University of Tennessee, gaining valuable hands-on experience in animal medicine.

Dr. Negron has a strong interest in internal medicine, ultrasound, radiology, and preventive care. She is dedicated to providing thoughtful, high-quality care for dogs and cats and values building strong relationships with the families she serves.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Caramel, as well as traveling, photography, and reading.
